Thuja is a cypress family and is a coniferous wood. The juniper wood used for the thuja wood coaster comes from the Essaouira region in southern Morocco on the Atlantic coast. So-called burl bulbs are used, which form naturally on the thuja tree. They are rather rare and very popular in timber construction. Their attractive drawing makes them the ideal starting material for all kinds of luxury products.

Only dead trees or trees that cannot be used for forestry supply the estimated raw material. In the hands of experienced artisans, the initially inconspicuous wood is transformed into an attractive design shelf. Each of them is a unique specimen of exquisite beauty in a reddish brown color.
